Jazz Bands

Columbia offers two Jazz Bands.  Jazz band auditoins take place in May.  Mr. McEntee places musicians into each Jazz band after auditions.  Each Jazz Band participates in the District 3 Jazz Festival in Boise as well as the Gene Harris Jazz Festival at Boise State University.

Jazz Band 1
​​Jazz 1 is the advanced Jazz Band.  Jazz 1 usually performs during the Christmas concert as well as home varsity basketball games.

Jazz Band 2
Jazz 2 is the beginner Jazz band.  Students get a feel for performing different styles of Jazz music while playing in a small ensemble.
